Ever have one of those weeks where you just want to go cocoon somewhere until things get better?
That happened to me last week. I guess I hit a point where my tolerance for the aches and pains had reached it's limit so I took the week off to give the body parts a chance to rest.
In a moment of enlightenment, I realized that folks who are fighting diseases like cancer can't do this, so I truely treasured my hibernation time as a gift.
That said, the aches and pains are reduced and I'm ready to tackle the training run tomorrow...10 miles. Later!

Good call. Sometimes you just need to take a break. You will come back better for it!
Hope you have a good 10 miler!
Just wanted to let you know that I blogged about your blog on my blog ((http://marathonchris.blogspot.com/2008/08/introducing-super-amy.html)
just in case you get any new visitors :-)
Aaaaaahhhhhhh - - - I'm sure that's what your body was saying--"Thanks for the rest"!
Anxious to hear how the 10 mi. went yesterday.
Keep in touch :+)
Just went through the same thing, it's so worth listening to the body when it comes to training. Good luck on the 10 mile run.
